What Makes Tallow so Great for Skin?

Beef tallow is made up of 50% saturated fat, 42% monounsaturated fat, and 4% polyunsaturated fat. It also has vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E, and K for skin health. Some of the skin benefits from these fat-soluble vitamins include:

  • Vitamin A – helps stimulate collagen production to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Improves skin elasticity and promotes skin cell turnover for smoother, less blemished skin.
  • Vitamin D – Decreases skin inflammation, an antioxidant that protects skin from damage, and helps prevent the buildup of dead skin cells. It also plays an important part in preventing infections.
  • Vitamin E – This antioxidant helps prevent free radical damage, promotes wound healing, and improves damaged skin.
  • Vitamin K – Can improve skin elasticity to improve stretch marks, may reduce dark spots, and promote wound healing for healthy skin.

You’ll also find conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) in grass-fed tallow and meat. CLA has a ton of health benefits as part of a healthy diet, but it also has some skin benefits. This family of polyunsaturated fatty acids has anti-inflammatory properties and helps support the immune system. There’s some evidence that CLA and vitamin E together help rheumatoid arthritis and tallow has both.

Other essential fatty acids in tallow include oleic acid and stearic acid.

  • Oleic Acid – Helps our skin stay soft and flexible by creating a protective film of fatty acids on the skin. It’s also anti-inflammatory and helps regenerate skin cells.
  • Stearic acid – Helps protect our skin barrier (our sebum is about 11% stearic acid). It’s emollient to soften skin and helps it feel smooth and silky. Reduces flaking and itching (especially from psoriasis).

Benefits of Ostrich Oil

One of the most common ostrich oil uses is supporting and rejuvenating the skin. The fatty acids in the oil promote the new growth of skin cells.

The other vitamins present in the oil also work to refresh and rejuvenate the skin for young, healthy feeling skin.

Other individual constituents of ostrich oil include carotenoids, flavones, polyphenols, tocopherol, and phospholipids. These are all powerful antioxidant agents that work to fight off free radicals in your body.

When applied topically, the antioxidants in ostrich oil are absorbed into the skin. Not only do they heal your skin on the surface, but also fight free radicals once absorbed by your body.

Thanks to the fatty acids and other components of ostrich oil, it's incredibly moisturizing. Your skin will love the feeling that the oil provides. It penetrates the skin on a deep level, providing true, long-lasting relief.

It's not greasy or sticky and won't rub off on clothes or sheets. Plus, it's very gentle. It can be used multiple times a day, and you, your kids, and even your pets will enjoy it.

Ostrich oil can be used to heal your skin and provide a youthful appearance. It can reduce common aging symptoms such as wrinkles and bags under the eyes.

Your skin will feel soft and your cells will heal and grow faster with the regular use of ostrich oil.

Ostrich oil is hypoallergenic. This means it's very unlikely to cause any type of allergic reaction. So even those with hypersensitive skin will enjoy the benefits of ostrich oil.

It's also non-comedogenic, meaning that the oil won't block or clog your pores. This will prevent excessive breakouts of pimples and acne.

Those with skin conditions such as eczema or rosacea often struggle to find products that can help. The rashy, red itch often persists no matter what type of products are used.

But due to the unique composition of ostrich oil, it can provide much-needed relief to the itch, as well as reduce redness due to eczema. It may even remedy the issue altogether.

the list goes on! But let’s look at Tsubaki Oil…

Tsubaki oil also known as  Camellia japonica is not to be confused with Camellia oleifera. Camellia oil, specifically that of Camellia japonica, is a classic, time-honored Japanese skincare and haircare ingredient that has been treasured by the women of Japan for thousands of years, And for good reason – camellia oil has the richest antioxidant profile of any botanical oil available. Camellia oil is the preferred oil among Japan’s geisha who use it for both their skin and hair.

Among camellia oil’s roster of skin-nourishing constituents is oleic acid – a monounsaturated omega-9 fatty acid. Oleic acid nourishes the skin and when blended with other lipids may help in the overall absorption of topical skin care ingredients. Vitamins A, B, D and E are also present and help keep the skin glowing and youthful.

Camellia oil boosts enzymes that occur naturally in the skin such as superoxide dismutase. This boosting action helps the skin defend itself against external harm and therefore keeps the skin looking healthy and radiant. In addition, camellia oil has been shown to protect the skin from pollution and the damage that airborne pollutants cause to the skin.

This is one of the most important camellia oil benefits. It does not clog pores or cause acne, as the skin tissue responds perfectly to the molecular structure of the fatty acids found in camellia oil.

Carrot Seed Oil for Skin: Vitamin-rich carrot seed oil can improve your skin in a variety of ways. Carrot oil is a great moisturizer for dry, sensitive, or acne-prone skin. Carrot seed oil has a lot of vitamin A and carotenoids, which brighten your skin naturally. It also contains a lot of antioxidants, which are good for facial oils and help to prevent skin aging.

  • For Aged Skin, A Potent Antioxidant

Beta carotene is abundant in carrot oil. Beta-carotene is an antioxidant that aids in the slowing of the aging process. Carrots get their brilliant orange color from the same chemical that gives them their color. Antioxidants are required for the body's free radical-damaged cells and tissues to be repaired.

Free radicals are the atoms of an unstable acceptor that make up your body. These free radicals will cause damage to cells until they come into contact with an atom containing a full orbit of electrons. When they do link, oxidative stress develops, leading to more cell and tissue death. Damaged cells increase your risk of disease and speed up the aging process. Antioxidant is one of the carrot seed oil benefits which admires most.

  • Calming Anti-Inflammatory Properties

Carrot seed oil for skin has anti-inflammatory properties due to vitamin E's soothing properties. These benefits alleviate most types of facial and scalp irritation, including sunburn, dry skin, and acne. Carrot oil's anti-inflammatory properties are aided by the presence of linoleic acid, which helps to calm and relieve irritated skin.

  • Radiance Cell Regeneration

Beta-carotene and vitamin A, both of which help cell regeneration, are abundant in carrot oil. When carrot oil is applied to the skin, the effects are most effective. Antioxidants speed up cell regeneration and turnover. Radiance cell regeneration is one of the carrot seed oil benefits which helps to provide healthier and younger skin.

The younger, healthier skin cells will climb to the surface throughout this process. Your skin will appear healthier and younger as a result.

  • Acne Treatment With Antibacterial Properties

Do you have acne or pimples that won't go away? Carrot oil's antimicrobial qualities can aid acne treatment. It's one of the most effective plant-based skin oils for acne prevention and treatment. Acne Treatment is one of the influential carrot seed oil benefits, it promotes clear and natural skin.

When a pore acquires clogged with your natural skin oils, pimples and acne appear. Bacteria can thrive if your capillaries can't get the oil and other substances out, inflaming the hole and causing a bright red pimple to grow. Applying a small amount of carrot oil to the skin will help reduce acne irritation and prevent outbreaks.

  • Dry Skin Moisturizer

Your skin takes a hammering in the winter. Because of the lack of moisture in the air, the cold air makes your skin more prone to dryness. Carrot oil moisturizes your skin in a natural, effective, and safe way. One of the reasons we enjoy our Daily Prep Facial Oil is that it keeps our skin moisturized in severe climates and cold conditions. Carrot oil moisturizes your skin from the inside out, not simply on the surface. Carrot oil does not clog pores or make your face greasy. It keeps the right amount of moisture in the skin while preventing clogged pores.

Now on to the essential oils…

Research has found that when turmeric and frankincense are paired together, the benefits of both were enhanced. The two work synergistically to produce an optimal effect against inflammation. The theory behind this is that boswellic acid (frankincense) increases the bioavailability of curcumin.

How Turmeric Benefits Your Skincare

Thanks to the bio-active component curcumin, turmeric is filled with anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties that can improve skin health and appearance. Check out these benefits.

Improved skin tone and natural glow

Skincare products formulated with turmeric and curcumin help improve the appearance of skin irregularities like blotchiness, blemishes, dark spots, discolorations, dullness, redness, and unevenness. Because it adds brightness and luster, turmeric is often used at Indian weddings and other rituals to revitalize skin before a big event.

Protection against oxidative stress

Free radicals develop after exposure to an environmental stressor such as UV radiation, air pollution, radiation, or smoking build up on the skin and lead to visible changes. (Free radicals are complicated and not well understood; suffice it to say that these unstable molecules can damage cells, causing illness and aging, especially if left on the skin.) By helping neutralize free radicals, the antioxidants in turmeric limit damage.

Treatment of acne breakouts, atopic dermatitis, and psoriasis

With anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial ingredients, turmeric helps kill the bacteria that cause acne and psoriasis and may counteract some irritants that trigger atopic dermatitis. Turmeric application also reduces inflammation and dryness, leading to less scarring and allowing the skin to heal.

Reduction of dark circles

This common skin concern results from lack of sleep, unhealthy eating, hyperpigmentation from excess melanin, and spending too much time on computer and phone screens, among other causes. As a lightening agent, turmeric minimizes the appearance of dark circles by boosting circulation to reduce puffiness and lighten under-eye skin.

Moisturizing dry skin

Another frequent complaint has to do with dull, dried-out complexion, especially during winter. Turmeric-based products return moisture, in part by removing dead cells so new ones can regenerate, as well as adding fatty acids and vitamins to the skin.

Slowing down visible signs of aging

The curcumin found in turmeric helps lessen fine lines, age spots, and wrinkles by counteracting age-related dryness, strengthening elasticity, retaining moisture, and boosting collagen production. Natural oil balance is also restored.

Frankincense oil has skin-regenerating properties that can help even out the skin tone and texture. It promotes the shedding of dead skin cells and encourages the growth of new, healthy skin cells. With regular use, frankincense oil can improve the overall appearance and smoothness of the skin.

Lavender is beneficial to the skin since it is soothing, mild, and nutritious. Lavender oil may help to decrease the appearance of blemishes and give your skin a young shine. It can also assist if you are prone to skin inflammation, sunburns, or mild skin irritations.

Rose essential oil boasts powerful anti-inflammatory properties, making it an excellent choice for soothing irritated skin. It can relieve common skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, and eczema. The oil helps to reduce redness and inflammation, promoting a more even and toned complexion.

Neroli has commonly been used in formulas to reduce wrinkles with its potential to boost and support collagen production. This protein strengthens and firms the skin, and Neroli’s compounds are generally considered to help stimulate its production. As we age, our body produces less collagen, which can lead to wrinkles and sagging skin. Anything that supports collagen production can reduce fine lines and wrinkles, keeping skin smooth and radiant.

Changes to the formula:

We added Arrowroot Powder... but why?

One of the key benefits of arrowroot powder for skin is its ability to act as a natural moisture absorber. It helps to balance the skin's natural oils, making it an ideal ingredient for both dry and oily skin types. Not only does arrowroot powder help in balancing oil production, but it also has anti-aging properties. The soothing nature of arrowroot powder makes it excellent for calming irritated or inflamed skin. It has been traditionally used to alleviate conditions such as rashes and eczema. Incorporating arrowroot powder into your skincare routine can help to calm inflammation and promote healing. Arrowroot powder is a natural humectant, which means that it attracts and retains moisture. This makes it an ideal ingredient for people with dry or sensitive skin. Arrowroot powder can help to soothe and hydrate the skin, and it can also help to reduce irritation and redness.

Prevents acne and pimples
Arrowroot powder has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties that can help fight acne! it also soothes skin irritations, Arrowroot powder can help soothe and heal inflamed skin, rashes, acne, skin sores, and sunburn

so I’m sure you can see why we decided to add this to our already amazing formula..

Next up... We added Optiphen preservative... I know I know the dreaded word preservative but not all preservatives are bad and sometimes they are the lesser evil. Without them products can grow bacteria, mold, yeast and so on. All it takes is a little moisture and a product can become a ticking time bomb growing bacteria you cant see. Since we know this product is more than likely in your bathroom and may come in contact with moist hands and or a moist environment we added Optiphen which is paraben and formaldehyde free and is the top preferred  Preservative for most formulators that prefer the more natural formulations like myself.

I use this product daily and would never sell you something I dont use myself! But please if you have doubts always do your research.  We hope you love this new formulation.
